- Currently I am working at Nickelodeon on a show called "The Penguins of Madagascar". I thought it would be fun to have a blog where I regularly load up my artwork. I am also working on a Comic about my experience during the mandatory military service in the german army. Another project this year will be a children-book for my daughter.

haha, sweet! are these done in illustrator? would love to see your process.
These illustrations are done in photoshop with the "pen-tool". I start with a sketch first, then put in some color to get a proper feel for the sketch.
I clean up the drawing and then create vector-based shapes in photoshop, using the pen-tool. I use a separate folder for the shadows. The transparency-option allows me to easily darken or lighten all shadows at the same time.
I will put up a series of images for my next illustration, so you can see the process.
